Guitar Tuition

I have been passionate about music my whole life. I starting playing at the age of 10 and gained guitar knowledge from my older brother (James). From the age of 14 I was teaching people privately and from 15, performing in Labour clubs in various covers band.

At the age of 16 I studied Performing Arts at Leigh College. This helped me to branch out and I begin to perform at weddings and corporate events. By the time I achieve my HND in Performing I studied a Jazz Degree at Leeds College of Music. This lead to opportunities working on Cruise Ships and play as a musician backing artists and tribute bands.

During all my studies and work I always had a passion for composing and arranging originals music. I have been in various bands over the years with various successes. I have recorded 100’s of songs fully produced and 1000’s of short demos. Creating music was a big passion and I was always prolific when it came to creating ideas.

After a decade of fully committing to being creative and working in schools as an instrumental teacher, I decided to get married and start a family. This is where I moved back towards my teaching and corporate work. I set up my own band which was a duo requests band playing weddings and corporate events. Gigs are always fun and lively. I started working for a college in Manchester where I achieved a PGCert teaching qualification.

With the addition of children, this is when I realised my passion for teaching. After teaching Diploma and Degree students in Manchester for 5 years I decided to create my own education company DMC Guitar Tuition.

So this is my story so far and I hope to extend this section in a few years with extra fun career experiences.
